The Cache Slam
The Cache Slam is a combined-time challenge using the results from three regional trail ultras and trail marathons in the Logan, Utah area: Logan Peak, White Pine 50 and the Bear 100. The three races share sections of trail and calendar placement: Logan Peak serves as the start of the Bear 100 and White Pine shares trail with the middle sections of the Bear 100.
Prizes are scheduled for the top male and top female finishers of the combined challenge. Participation awards are planned for other runners who complete the three races within a single calendar year. The Cache Slam is being offered at no cost in its inaugural year.
Participation requires entry into the Bear 100 and either registration or a viable waitlist position for Logan Peak and White Pine 50. No special consideration will be given to Cache Slam entrants for race entry into any of the three events. Final results are based on the combined times from the three races, and prizes will be distributed at the Bear 100 finish line.
The event location is listed as Hyrum Gibbons Park, Logan, Utah. Registration for the Cache Slam closes on Tue, Aug 25 at 12:00 PM MT. Organizers note that a fourth race may be added to the Cache Slam in the future. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
