The Cache Slam
The Cache Slam is a regional running challenge that combines the combined finish times of three trail events held around Logan, Utah: Logan Peak, the White Pine 50, and the Bear 100. The three races share sections of trail and geography: Logan Peak serves as the start area for the Bear 100, and the White Pine 50 overlaps the middle portion of the Bear 100. The races are scheduled to complement one another on the calendar so runners can use one event as preparation for the next.
Prizes are awarded to the top male and top female finishers of the Cache Slam. Participants who complete all three required events within a single calendar year receive participation awards. Organizers note that no special consideration will be given to Cache Slam entrants for entry into any of the three races.
To be eligible, a runner must be entered in the Bear 100 and must also be signed up for or hold viable waitlist positions for Logan Peak and the White Pine 50. Registration for the Cache Slam is offered at no cost in its inaugural year. The Cache Slam may add another race to the series at a future date.
