The Bear 100
The Bear is a point to point 100 Mile trail race based in Logan, Utah, scheduled for September 25, 2026. The course runs from Logan to Bear Lake and crosses the Wasatch-Cache National Forest and the Bear River Range.
The route passes through pines, golden aspen and red maple stands and finishes at Bear Lake. A course map is available from event sources. The event is listed as an UTMB index race and is a qualifier for Hardrock and Western States 100. The race uses a 36 hour cutoff. The stated race fee is $350 plus tax and the platform fee.
Entry for 2026 used a lottery process. Lottery registration opened November 15 and closed December 15, 2025, with the lottery held December 27. Entrant and waitlist information reflect the results.
To be eligible for the lottery an entrant must have completed an official 50 mile event in under 16 hours or any official 100K, 100 or 200 mile event within the applicable cutoff. Qualifying results had to fall within the window December 1, 2021 to December 1, 2025. Event organizers verify qualifiers via official race results.
Runners are required to perform eight hours of service, such as trail work or event volunteering, during the service window from September 25, 2025 to September 15, 2026. Race management may cancel the event or deny entry and may, at their discretion, withhold some or all refunds in case of cancellation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
