The Bear 100 (September 25, 2026)
The Bear 100 is a point to point 100 Mile trail race from Logan, Utah to Bear Lake in Utah and Idaho. The course travels through the Pines, Golden Aspen and Red Maples of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest and the Bear River Range. The event marks its 28th anniversary in 2026 and is a qualifier for Hardrock and Western States 100 and is listed as an UTMB index race.
Entrants must meet a race qualifier to enter the lottery: complete a 50 mile race in under 16 hours or complete any 100K, 100 mile, or 200 mile event within the cutoff in the qualifying window from December 1, 2021 to December 1, 2025. Qualifiers are verified using official race results; those who fail verification are not eligible for the lottery. Lottery registration was open November 15 to December 15, with the lottery held on December 27. Registration for the 2026 race closed December 15, 2025.
A service requirement asks entrants to perform eight hours of trail work or volunteer service between September 25, 2025 and September 15, 2026. The published race fee for 2026 is $350 plus tax and registration platform fees. Race management may use discretion if the event is canceled and may retain some or all entry fees; management also reserves the right to deny entry to anyone for any reason.
