The Booze Run : Sun 28 Dec 2025
The Booze Run is a fell race held in Langthwaite / Arkengarthdale on 28 December 2025. The event is organised by DalesRunner and has event permit and UK Athletics insurance via the FRA. Entrants must be at least 17 years old (relative to the end of 2025). Entry is available in advance and on the day; the published fee is £8.00.
Course, kit and facilities
The course is roughly 9 km (about 5.6 miles) with approximately 280 m of climb. The venue is listed as The Red Lion, Arkengarthdale (grid reference NZ 00286 02703). There is a checkpoint in the village of Booze where mince pies and a warming drink are provided, and a mince pie is also offered at the finish. The Red Lion pub will be open serving hot and cold drinks.
FRA kit requirements apply: all runners must carry waterproof body cover, hat, gloves, a map of the area, compass, whistle and emergency food regardless of the weather.
Parking is provided in a field past St Mary’s Church in Arkengarthdale, with an alternative being the small pay-and-display car park in Langthwaite.
