The Bones 5K
The Bones 5K is the inaugural nighttime trail race on October 30, 2026, at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury, Maryland. The event is organized by Algonquin Ultras in partnership with Wicomico County Recreation & Parks and is presented as a Halloween themed community race covering a 5K distance on park trails.
The course runs on winding single-track trails and includes sandy sections, root-covered stretches, and wooded scenery. The forest area will be decorated for Halloween and the event is described as family friendly; participants may encounter occasional surprises along the route. The event features professional chip timing, prizes for best costumes, and an exclusive Bones 5K shirt with a skeleton inspired design offered to registrants. The format accommodates both runners and walkers on the trail course and emphasizes trail elements specific to Pemberton Historical Park.
