Delmarva Ultra Challenge (DUC)
The Delmarva Ultra Challenge (DUC) is a 100K trail event in Pocomoke, MD composed of two consecutive 50K trail runs. Competitors' times from both 50K runs are added to produce overall results for top male and female finishers. The second 50K follows the traditional Algonquin race course. The first 50K takes place after packet pickup at an undisclosed location, which is revealed only a few hours before the run.
Organizers note that successful participants typically have night running experience, a high tolerance for discomfort, and strong mental resilience. Entry consideration is limited to Algonquin registrants who have completed a 50 mile or longer race within the last year under the official cutoff.
