4STEPS Therapeutic Riding 5K

This trail 5K takes place on February 20, 2027 at the Wicomico Ranger Station on Sixty Foot Road in Parsonsburg, Maryland. The course runs through forested trails in the Wicomico Demonstration Forest and covers 3.1 Miles.

Registration opens October 24, 2026 and closes February 20, 2027. The registration fee is $32.00.

Prizes include $50 Amazon gift cards for first and second place male and female finishers, and $25 Amazon gift cards for third place male and female finishers.

All funds raised go directly to program participants. 4STEPS provides low cost and scholarship therapeutic riding services to the special needs community. The program uses sensory integration and motor skill motivation on horseback to help participants enhance dynamic posture, muscle tone, socialization, mobility, cognitive abilities, and overall quality of life. 4STEPS conducts outreach to minorities, rural communities, families with children with special needs, group homes, and residential communities. The Horse Power program focuses on youth development by building horsemanship skills, leadership, respectful interaction with peers of diverse abilities, and authentic community connections.
