MLK Jr. Freedom Run 5K/10K/13.1 TAMPA
The event takes place on Courtney Campbell Trail in Tampa on January 16, 2027 and commemorates Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy. It is organized as a smaller, capped group run with coordinators on site to support participants. All paces and ages are welcome; minors must be accompanied by a guardian. The event allows running or walking and offers a virtual option if in-person waves are full.
Participants can choose from these distances:

- Half-Marathon 13.1
- Virtual Run
- Family 1 Mile Fun Run
Timing is optional; there are no timing chips. Participants may track time with personal apps or request timing help from coordinators. Results can be submitted for online posting and a certificate of completion is available. Race bibs are provided on race day. Swag is shipped to US mailing addresses and includes a running T-shirt, finisher medal, finisher towel or giveaway, and a digital training pack. An optional technical running shirt is available for a small upgrade fee. Final race details and course maps are emailed to registrants the Wednesday before the race. The organizer notes a waitlist and virtual alternative when waves sell out.
