The event is a community run held at Papago Park, North Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, AZ. It offers in-person and virtual participation and includes a family 1 mile option. The organizer operates the event as smaller, private group runs with a participant cap per wave and multiple wave starts filled on a first-come, first-served basis. All paces and ages are allowed; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Both running and walking are permitted.

Timing is optional; participants may track time with common running apps and submit results for online posting, or ask coordinators to record times. No timing chips are used. An optional technical running shirt is available for a small additional fee. Final race updates and course information are distributed by email the week before the event.
