AZ SUNRISE SERIES - Riparian Preserve
The event is scheduled for August 8, 2026 at Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch in Gilbert, Arizona. It is the final leg of the 13th Annual Arizona Sunrise Series and features an in-person 5K race with a cap of 700 participants. A virtual participation option is available; virtual registrations are restricted to US addresses and include event items shipped after the event date.
The 5K course uses a mix of gravel and concrete paths around the park. The race offers chip timing with real time results and event photos, extra water stations along the course, and a custom series medal plus an event swag choice for participants. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each listed age category. Pre- and post-race refreshments such as granola bars, fruit, water, and sports drink are provided.
Packet pickup is offered the day before at Road Runner Sports in Tempe Marketplace and at the race location on event day. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are permitted; roller blades, skates, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed on the run or walk courses. Walkers are welcome and leashed pets may attend. The event runs rain or shine and there are no refunds or transfers due to weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
