AZ SUNRISE SERIES - Riparian Preserve takes place on August 8, 2026, at Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch in Gilbert, Arizona. This race is the final leg of the 13th Annual Arizona Sunrise Series. The in-person event features a 5K run that is limited to 700 participants. A virtual run option is also offered for participants who cannot attend in person. The course uses a mix of gravel and concrete paths around the park.

Registration, logistics and awards
Registration pricing is tiered; 5K registration ranges from about $38.82 to $49.52 depending on the registration period. Virtual run pricing ranges from about $28.12 to $38.82. Mail-in registrations are accepted through August 3, 2026. Race-day registration is available for an additional fee. Packet pick-up is available the day before at Road Runner Sports in Tempe and at the race location on event day. Virtual registrations are restricted to US addresses; virtual participants receive event swag and a medal specific to this race, with items shipped after the event.
Race services include extra water stations on course, chip timing with real-time results and photos, and age-group awards for the top three male and female finishers in standard age brackets. Pre- and post-race refreshments are provided. Wheelchairs, strollers, wagons and leashed pets are allowed; roller blades, skateboards and motorized devices are not.
