Desert Night Race Series
The Desert Night Race Series comprises three Friday evening 5K races held once a month through October. Live events take place at AZ Falls, 5802 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Participants are encouraged to bring headlamps and party lights. The series features three collectible desert themed medals, one medal awarded per 5K.
All live races are chip timed and include age group awards and raffle prizes. Entry for each live race is limited to 250 spots. Dates listed for the series are 8/21, 9/18, and 10/16. Series registration has an early pricing tier; early series registration is $89 until 8/3 and includes a free tech shirt for those who register the series early. Individual race entry is $35 with a $5 price increase two weeks before each race. A tech shirt is available for optional purchase with any individual race entry; one design is used for the entire series.
A virtual race option lets participants complete a chosen 5K on their own day and submit a time by email to receive the collectible medal. Virtual entries remain open until the end of the series or until each race sells out. Race packets usually ship during race week. The series raises funds for Child Crisis Arizona, which works to provide children and youth in Arizona a safe environment free from abuse and neglect by creating strong and successful families.
