Desert Night Race Series
The Desert Night Race Series comprises three Friday evening 5K races held once a month through October. Live events take place at Arizona Falls, 5802 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Participants are encouraged to bring headlamps or party lights for the evening setting.
Each live race covers a 5K distance. Organizers created three desert themed medals, one awarded for each 5K in the series. Live races are chip timed and include age group awards and raffle prizes. Events are limited to 250 participants per race.
The series raises funds for Child Crisis Arizona. That organization aims to provide children and youth in Arizona a safe environment free from abuse and neglect by creating strong and successful families.
A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend on the event dates. Virtual participants may run on a day and time of their choice and submit their time by email. The virtual option remains open until the end of the series or until individual races sell out. Race packets usually ship during race week.
Pricing information provided by the organizer includes an early series price of $89 until 8/3, which includes a free tech shirt for the series. Individual races are priced at $35 each with a $5 increase two weeks before a race; a tech shirt is available for optional purchase with an individual entry.
