Event Overview
The Run to Breast Cancer is an annual event held in Central Park, New York. This small, private group run is designed with a cap on participant numbers for each wave to maintain a specific atmosphere. The event is open to participants of all ages and all paces, including both runners and walkers. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
The event emphasizes a stress-free environment without formal chip timing or specialized equipment. While timing is optional, participants can track their own progress using various mobile apps and submit their results through an online form to be posted alongside other participants. On-site coordinators are also available to assist with manual timekeeping if requested.
Distances
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 13.1 miles (Half-Marathon)

- A finisher's medal
- A finisher's towel or other giveaway item
