2026 Arizona Sunrise Series
The Arizona Sunrise Series consists of seven separate running events held throughout the summer months across various Valley locations. The series is designed for participants to maintain their running routine as temperatures rise by utilizing early morning starts. Each event in the series features a 5 km distance.
The events take place at the following locations:
- Kiwanis Park
- Scottsdale Sports Complex
- Rio Vista Park
- Freestone Park
- Foothills Park
- Arizona Boardwalk
- Riparian Preserve
Participants can choose between an open start window or a traditional mass start. The courses are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, and leashed pets are permitted to join. A runner's brunch including water, fruit, and granola bars is provided at the events.
The series includes a points system where runners earn points for every finished event, with additional points based on age group and overall placement. Those who complete at least four out of the seven events, along with the top 100 point earners, qualify for a prize drawing at the end of the series. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option is available for the entire series or individual dates.
Registered participants receive a custom series medal with specific attachments for each completed race. Swag options include event-specific apparel such as racerback tank tops, sleeveless shirts, or short-sleeve shirts for each of the seven events.
