THE CALDWELL CLASSIC 5K RUN/WALK & FAMILY FUN RUN
The Caldwell Classic is a community memorial event held on May 16, 2026, at James Caldwell High School in West Caldwell, New Jersey. It honors the legacy of founding members of the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation and supports the foundation’s work for local schools.
The event offers road race options:
- 5K Run/Walk (timed)
- 1 Mile Fun Run (not timed)
Registration for the 5K opens September 30, 2025 and closes April 12, 2026. Registration for the 1 Mile Fun Run opens September 30, 2025 and closes May 12, 2026. The listed registration fee is $25.00.
Local sponsors participate in a donation program that directs $1 for every mile registered; sponsors named by the organizer include Iron PT, The Rotary Club of the Caldwells, and The Kiwanis Club of Caldwell-West Essex. Additional premier sponsors include Millenium Fire and Leddy Home Improvements.
Event organizers acknowledge support from the Caldwell and West Caldwell Police Departments, the Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education, school principals, teachers, maintenance staff, volunteers, and other community partners involved in staging and safety.
