The Caldwell Classic 5K Run/Walk and Family Fun Run
The Caldwell Classic is a community memorial event scheduled for May 15, 2027 at James Caldwell High School in West Caldwell, New Jersey. It is presented by the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation and honors the legacies of two of the foundation's founding members.
The event program includes both a timed 5K Run/Walk and an untimed 1 Mile Fun Run. Registration for the events carries a fee of $25. Registration for the 5K opens on September 29, 2026 and closes on April 11, 2027. Registration for the 1 Mile Fun Run opens on September 29, 2026 and closes on May 11, 2027.

In 2026, several organizations contributed a dollar per mile and event participation included 778 registrants for the 5K and 303 for the 1 Mile. Local police departments, the board of education, school principals, teachers, maintenance staff, volunteers and sponsors are acknowledged for their roles in event safety and logistics.
