Event Details
The Run Juneteenth Day event takes place on June 20, 2026, at Piney Creek Hollow Park in Centennial, Colorado. It is a smaller, private group run with capped participation per wave.
Distances
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Family 1 Mile Fun Run
There is also a Virtual Run option that can be completed any time and place.
What to Expect
The event is described as a pure run without equipment setup, aiming for a warm, stress-free setting. Runners and walkers of all paces and ages are welcome, with participants under 18 requiring a guardian. Timing is optional, with participants encouraged to use their own tracking apps; no timing chips are used. Race bibs are provided on event day.
Participant Support & Swag
Registered participants receive a swag bag shipped to their US mailing address. This includes a running t-shirt, a finisher's towel or giveaway, and a finisher's medal. A digital training pack, online results, a certificate of completion, and an invitation to join a local running club are also provided. An optional technical running shirt upgrade is available.
Registration Waves
Waves are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The listed wave times are 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 8:30 AM MDT. Late runners can run upon arrival, with coordinators staying for 3 hours after the first wave starts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
