Flamingo Day 5K
Flamingo Day 5K takes place Sunday, June 6, 2027, at Sloan’s Lake Park in Denver, Colorado. The event uses the paved bike trails around the lake for a measured 5K run/walk; bicycles, skateboards, and roller skates are not allowed on the course.

The narrow nature of parts of the course requires wave starts based on each participant's estimated finish time. Registration is tiered by date and offers a $5 discount for ages 17 and under. Registered entries include a race logo shirt, a finisher medal, finish line food, on-course and finish line expo activities, fully stocked aid stations, professional chip timing with a disposable bib tag, and free photo downloads after the event.
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2027, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Runners Roost (1685 S Colorado Blvd, Denver). Race day packet pickup is also available at the race site and closes before the final start.
The race will be staged from the parking lot at W 17th Ave and Utica St. That parking lot will be closed on race morning; neighborhood parking south of the park is available and participants are asked to obey parking signs and leave no trace.
Awards will be presented to overall male and female winners and to the top three finishers in standard age groups beginning at 9 and under and extending through 80 and over. A virtual participation option is available; virtual packets include a shirt, medal, and bib shipped at no charge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
