Flamingo Day 5K - Denver
Flamingo Day 5K is a 5K run/walk held at Sloan's Lake Park in Denver on Sunday, June 6, 2027. The event is staged from the parking area near W 17th Avenue and Utica Street and uses the paved bike trails around the lake.
Because parts of the course are narrow, participants start in waves based on estimated finish time. Bicycles, skateboards, and roller skates are not allowed in the race. The parking lot at W 17th and Utica will be closed on race morning; available street parking is in the neighborhood to the south and participants are asked to obey posted signs.
Registration fees vary by registration date; the standard 5K fee ranges from an early rate to a higher race day price, and entrants ages 17 and under receive a $5 discount. Registration does not include service fees. Registration benefits include a race logo shirt, a finisher medal, fully stocked aid stations, finish line food, professional chip timing with a disposable bib tag, free photo downloads after the event, and an on-site finish line expo.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Runners Roost (1685 S Colorado Blvd) and on race morning at the race site until the start of the last race. Awards are presented near the finish to overall male and female winners and the top three in each age group, with age groups running from 9 and under up to 80 and over.
