Flamingo Day 5K
The Flamingo Day 5K is a community 5K run and walk held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Sloan’s Lake Park in Denver, Colorado. The event is staged from the parking area near W 17th Avenue and Utica Street and uses the paved bike trails that circle the lake. Because parts of the course are narrow, participants will start in waves based on estimated finish time.
Registration pricing varies by date and is reduced for participants 17 and under. Race registration includes a race logo shirt, a finishers medal, finish line food, fully stocked aid stations, professional chip timing with a disposable bib tag, and free photo downloads after the event. A virtual entry option is available; virtual packets include a shirt, medal, and bib and will be shipped to participants.
Packet pickup is available the day before at a local running store and there is also race day packet pick up at the event site. Bicycles, skateboards, and roller skates are not allowed in the race. An awards ceremony will follow the race with awards to the overall male and female winners and the top three finishers in each age group, starting with 9 and under and continuing in standard five year increments up to 80 and over.
Directions note that the primary parking lot at W 17th and Utica will be closed on race morning and nearby neighborhood parking south of the park should be used in accordance with posted signs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
