Flamingo Day 5K

Flamingo Day is a 5K run/walk held at Sloan’s Lake Park in Denver, Colorado. The event uses the paved bike trails that circle the lake. Because certain sections of the course are narrow, runners and walkers start in timed waves based on estimated finish time.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 6, 2027, and is staged from the parking lot at W 17th Avenue and Utica Street. The parking lot will be closed on race morning; participants are advised to use neighborhood parking to the south and to follow posted parking regulations.

Registration fees vary by date and are reduced by $5 for ages 17 and under. Registration tiers listed by the organizer include early and later pricing up to a race day fee. Registration includes a race logo shirt, a finishers medal, finish line food, fully stocked aid stations, professional chip timing using a disposable bib tag, and free photo downloads after the event.

Pre-race packet pickup is available Saturday, June 5, 2027, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Runners Roost, 1685 S Colorado Blvd, with additional packet pick-up available at the race site on race day until the start of the final wave.

Awards are presented to overall male and female winners and the top three in each age group. Age divisions run from 9 and under through 80 and over. A virtual option is offered with a shirt, medal, and bib shipped at no charge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
