Flamingo Day 5K - Denver
Flamingo Day 5K is a 5K run and walk held at Sloan’s Lake Park in Denver on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The event is staged from the parking lot at W 17th Ave and Utica St and uses the paved bike trails around the lake for the course.
Because sections of the course are narrow, participants start in waves based on their estimated finish time. Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates and other wheeled devices are not allowed in the race. Dogs are permitted but must be leashed and confined to a six foot leash or shorter; retractable leashes are prohibited. Strollers are allowed. Headphones are discouraged.
Registration includes a race logo shirt, a finishers medal, finish line food tables, an expo area at the finish, fully stocked aid stations, professional chip timing using a disposable bib tag, and free photo downloads after the event. Entry fees are reduced by $5 for ages 17 and under and vary by registration period.
Pre-race packet pickup is available Saturday, June 6, 2026, 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Runners Roost, 1685 S Colorado Blvd, Denver. Race day packet pickup is available at the site and closes at the start of the last race. There is no time limit for the 5K. A virtual option is offered with a mailed packet that includes a shirt, medal and bib. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
