The Barmen Mile

The Barmen Mile is a one mile running event held on June 3, 2026 at Colorado Tap House, 14982 W 69th Ave., Arvada, CO 80007. The event is presented as part of Global Running Day and is timed.

The format centers on a seven minute beer pour. If a runner completes the mile before the Barmen Pilsner is finished pouring, that runner receives the beer at no charge. Runners who do not beat the pour may attempt the mile and may purchase the Barmen Pilsner for five dollars during the event.

The event records a course time and recognizes a course record. A runner who beats the current Barmen Mile record will have their name placed on the Tap House Wall of Champions. Organizers note that, to date, no woman has yet beaten the pour.
