Event Information
The Memorial Day Freedom Run takes place on Memorial Day at Piney Creek Hollow Park in Centennial, Colorado. The event honors the men and women who have sacrificed for freedom.
Race Details
The event offers several distances: 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon (13.1 miles), and a Family 1 Mile Fun Run. A virtual run option is also available for those who cannot attend in person. This is a smaller, private group run with participant caps per wave. All paces and ages are welcome, and participants can run or walk. There is no on-site equipment or timing setup; participants can optionally track their own time using running apps.
Participant Support
Participants receive a swag bag with items shipped to their US mailing address. This includes a running T-shirt, a finisher's medal, a finisher's towel or giveaway, and access to a digital training pack. Technical running shirts are available as an optional upgrade. Race bibs are provided on the day of the event. Participants are also invited to join local run clubs for ongoing fitness support.
Logistics
The event operates on a wave start system with waves beginning at 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 8:30 AM. Late runners can start upon arrival, as coordinators stay for three hours after the first wave.
