The Bay Aquathlon Series - Race 1
The Bay Aquathlon Series Race 1 is an open water swim and run event held at Swansea Bay on Tuesday 16 June 2026. Each race day offers a swim in open water followed by a run, with registration, a transition area, a mandatory race briefing, an acclimatisation period and an award ceremony on the event day.
Distances offered at each individual race:
- Sprint distance: 750m swim and 5k run for more experienced athletes
- Mini Sprint distance: 400m swim and 5k run for less confident swimmers
- Super Sprint distance: 400m swim and 3k run for first time open water swimmers
The series comprises three dates with an option to enter the full series. The other race dates are Thursday 16 July 2026 and Thursday 27 August 2026. Series bookings are available which group the three races by distance.
The race start is on the beach adjacent to Secret's Bar & Kitchen. The Recreation Ground Car Park is a short walk from the start and there is additional parking in the surrounding area; parking charges may apply.
