Race for Life Llanelli
Race for Life Llanelli takes place at Festival Fields, Millennium Coastal Park in Llanelli. The event offers three distances:
- 10k
- 5k
- 3k
The start and finish are in the amphitheatre on grass. The course follows the coastal cycle path and includes tarmac, grass and gravel sections. The whole 10k course records a total ascent of 41 m and includes a steep slope of around 30% on some parts. Events are chip timed.
The site and much of the course are on firm surfaces; a small grass section may be affected by poor weather. Wheelchair users can take part with assistance because of the steep hill and grass section. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee and British Sign Language stage content can be accessed via a QR code on the main event site.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets, provision for pushchairs and wheelchair accessibility. Meeting point information notes the amphitheatre of Festival Fields. Travel information includes charged parking at Festival Fields Car Park around 100 m from the event, a nearby train station about 1.6 miles away and no bus service on Sunday.
