Pegasus - The VOGUM
Pegasus - The VOGUM is a 40 mile route along the Wales Coast Path between Porthcawl and Penarth on June 6, 2026. The route runs largely along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast and passes beaches, cliffs, Ogmore Castle and the stepping stones. The advertised elevation profile is 3,054 ft. Terrain is described as roughly 85% trail and 15% road with continuous coastal scenery.
The event includes three fully stocked checkpoints positioned on course. Checkpoints are listed as offering snacks, fresh fruit, hot and cold drinks, seating, power banks and music; dietary requirements are accommodated if provided to the organiser. There is no overall time limit for participants.
Logistics notes indicate a coach transfer between finish and start locations and downloadable route maps supplied via plotaroute, which allow last-minute updates and navigation file downloads. Mandatory personal kit listed for the event includes appropriate footwear, a water carrier (1 litre), a mobile phone, a headlamp or other light source, a foil blanket, a waterproof jacket and a rucksack.
