Swansea Half Marathon
The Swansea Half Marathon is a city road race held on 21 March 2027. The event is a UKA licensed and AIMS certified half marathon with a route that starts and finishes in the heart of Swansea and runs towards the seaside village of Mumbles.
The course is described as flat and fast, with an elevation gain of about 36 metres and around five miles of coastline alongside Swansea Bay. Runners pass several city landmarks including Swansea Arena, Brangwyn Hall, Swansea Castle and Swansea Museum before heading to the coast and the gateway to the nearby Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Roads are fully closed for the race. Water is provided approximately every three miles by Brecon Carreg. The event lists wheelchair friendly access, pacers across a range of target times, training plans, and a bespoke 100% recycled zinc medal for finishers.
The Swansea event is organised alongside other race formats during the festival including a Front Runner five mile and a family fun run. The organiser publishes results, photos and news from previous editions and notes category results for recent years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
