Swansea Half Marathon
The Swansea Half Marathon is a city-to-sea race in Swansea taking place on 21 March 2027. The event centres on a coastal half marathon course that starts and finishes in the heart of the city and runs out towards the seaside village of Mumbles.
The route passes several local landmarks, including Swansea Arena, Brangwyn Hall, Swansea Castle and Swansea Museum, and includes roughly five miles of shoreline views across Swansea Bay. The course has a reported elevation gain of 36 metres and is described as flat and fast. Roads are fully closed for the race and water is provided approximately every 3 miles by the event water partner Brecon Carreg.
The programme includes a half marathon plus other race options and event formats such as a Front Runner 5 Miler, a Freedom Family Fun Run, virtual entry, elite entry and a corporate challenge. The event is UKA licensed and AIMS certified, provides wheelchair access, and offers training plans and pacers across a range of finish times. Additional features noted by the organiser include entertainment zones, spectator-friendly sections, and a bespoke 100% recycled zinc finisher medal.
