The Bay 5K Series - Race 1
The Bay 5k Series begins its 2026 season at Swansea Bay. This event serves as the first installment of a three-part series held throughout the summer months. Hosted by Aspire X Events, the competition is integrated with the Bay Aquathlon program. Participants can choose to enter individual races or commit to the full series, which includes subsequent dates in July and August.
The event offers two distinct running distances to accommodate different experience levels:
- 5 km distance
- 3 km distance
The running course is located on the beach, starting in the area adjacent to Secret's Bar & Kitchen. Participants are required to attend a mandatory race briefing shortly before the start. Following the conclusion of the runs, an award ceremony is held on-site.
Registration is subject to age requirements based on the participant's age at the end of the calendar year. The 5 km event is open to runners aged 11 and over, while the 3 km event is open to runners aged 9 and over. For those traveling by vehicle, the Recreation Ground Car Park is located a short walk from the start line, with additional parking available in the surrounding area where charges may apply.
