Event Details

The Bay 5K Series is a set of three running events taking place in 2026 along Swansea Bay. This page provides details for Race 1, which is scheduled for Tuesday, 16th June. The series is part of a larger event called the Bay Aquathlon. Participants can enter individual races or the full series.

Practical Information

The event is held on Swansea Bay, with the race starting on the beach next to Secret's Bar & Kitchen. Car parking is available nearby at the Recreation Ground Car Park, within a short walk of the start. Other parking is available in the surrounding area, where charges may apply.

Registration and Series

Registration opens at 17:00 and closes at 19:00. A mandatory race briefing takes place at 19:25, with the race starting at 19:30. An award ceremony is scheduled for 20:15. For the 5K distance, entry is open to those aged 11 and over as of 31st December 2026. For the 3K, the minimum age is 9 as of the same date. Entry prices for Race 1 are £14.95 for the 5K and £9.95 for the 3K. A series entry is available, offering participation in all three races.
