The Amazing Northampton Run is a town-centre running event based at Market Square, Northampton NN1 2DP. The event offers several race formats over a looped course that passes local landmarks, parks and waterside paths.

Distances include:

• Half Marathon loop around Northampton
• Half Marathon Relay split into three legs
• 3‑Mile Fun Run for a shorter participation option

The half marathon route starts and finishes in Market Square, runs downhill over South Bridge and follows the river past three main sporting grounds: Sixfields stadium, Franklin’s Gardens and The County Ground. The course goes through three parks and the university campus, then returns into the historic town centre to finish back at Market Square. All finishers in the half marathon and the relay receive a t-shirt and a medal; 3-Mile finishers receive a medal.

Event services include four aid stations positioned at roughly three mile intervals, mile markers throughout the course, pacers available for a range of target finish times (1:30 to 3:00 hours) and a secure bag drop at the start/finish. The pacers are sponsored by Franklins Solicitors. Race numbers can be posted at least one week before race day. Relay team captain registration is listed for Saturday 12th September at The Mercure Hotel NN1 2TA, with limited registration on Sunday 13th September. The race has a three hour cut‑off time.
