Event overview
The Foxton Hound Ultra takes place on Saturday 15 August 2026 around Market Harborough, with Race HQ at Winwick Hall (NN6 7PD). Two distances follow large parts of the Harborough Round and cross county boundaries between Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. Routes pass through local villages and landmarks including Houghton on the Hill, West Haddon, Coton, Stoke Albany, Foxton Locks, the Naseby Battle Field and the Kelmarsh Tunnel on the Brampton Valley Way. Both races are licensed by the TRA and will be held under UKA rules.

Race details, support and kit
Entries are priced at £75 for the 100k and £50 for the 50k, with a £2 discount for members of UK Athletics-affiliated clubs. Minimum age on race day is 20. The 100k has an overall cut-off of 18 hours with progressive checkpoint cut-offs from Checkpoint 3; the 50k has a 9-hour finish cut-off and no checkpoint cut-offs. Pacers are permitted on the 100k from Checkpoint 5. No crews or spectators are allowed in Cottesbrooke village or at the Elkington water station. GPX files and written route instructions are available and the course will be marked, though runners are expected to self-navigate.
On-course support includes professional first aid at the start and finish, volunteers manning 7 aid stations on the 100k (3 on the 50k), hot food at Checkpoint 4 (Hallaton) and Checkpoint 7 (Sibbertoft), and a range of food and drink options. Mandatory kit includes a charged mobile phone, at least 1 litre water capacity, survival blanket, head torch with spare batteries, waterproof jacket, whistle, long-sleeved base layer or fleece, a personal cup, and reflective items, with hat and gloves required for the 100k.
