Foxton Hound Ultra
The Foxton Hound Ultra takes place in the countryside and villages surrounding Market Harborough, traversing the Harborough Round long-distance footpath through Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. The event starts and finishes at Winwick Hall in Winwick, providing access to a variety of historical and cultural sites.
Runners cross through locations such as Houghton on the Hill, West Haddon, Coton, and Stoke Albany. The route also includes Foxton Locks, the Naseby Battle Field, and the Kelmarsh Tunnel on the Brampton Valley Way. The course features a mix of terrain with several elevations and downhills, intersecting with trails like the Jurassic Way, the Macmillan Way, and the Leicestershire Round.

The event is licensed by the TRA and held under UKA rules. Participants must be at least 20 years old on race day. The 100 km distance has an 18-hour cut-off with progressive limits at specific checkpoints, while the 50 km distance has a 9-hour finish cut-off.
Support is provided via aid stations stocked with hydration and nutrition, including vegan and vegetarian options. Hot food is served at specific checkpoints for the 100 km participants. Mandatory kit includes a mobile phone, a one-litre water capacity, a survival blanket, a head torch for the Kelmarsh Tunnel, and a whistle.
