  • 50k

Both routes pass through villages and points of interest including Houghton on the Hill, West Haddon, Coton, Stoke Albany, Foxton Locks, the Naseby Battle Field and the Kelmarsh Tunnel on the Brampton Valley Way. GPX files and written route instructions are provided; courses will be marked but runners are expected to self-navigate if required.

The event is licensed by the TRA and held under UKA rules. Entry fees are £75 for the 100k and £50 for the 50k with a £2 club discount for UKA-affiliated members. Minimum age is 20 on race day. The 100k has an overall cut-off of 18 hours with progressive checkpoint cut-offs from Checkpoint 3; the 50k has a 9-hour finish cut-off. Pacers are permitted on the 100k from Checkpoint 5 (Queens Head, Billesdon). Crews and spectators are restricted at Cottesbrooke village and the Elkington water station.

On-course support includes professional first aid at start and finish, volunteers at aid stations, seven checkpoints on the 100k and three on the 50k; hot food and drinks are available at Checkpoint 4 and Checkpoint 7 on the 100k. Mandatory kit includes a charged mobile phone, minimum 1 litre water, survival blanket, head torch (essential for Kelmarsh Tunnel), waterproof jacket, whistle, long-sleeved base layer or fleece and a personal cup; additional kit is required for the 100k. Free guided recces are offered. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and all finishers receive an event medal. Race merchandise is available to pre-order and free race photos will be provided. The event supports local foodbanks with an optional donation for entrants.
