The Thanksgiving Day 5K Run & Family Stroll presented by T-Mobile is the 36th annual edition of the event. It takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Aspiria campus, 6240 Sprint Parkway, Overland Park, KS 66211. Distances offered include:

The event benefits the Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation and WIN for KC. The organizer states that 100% of the proceeds will fund their mission of bringing major sporting events to the Kansas City area.
Logistics and policies
Strollers are explicitly allowed and must line up at the back of the starting chute. No motorized vehicles, roller blades, or bikes are allowed on the course. Intersections will be protected by the Overland Park police department and/or volunteers. Children have a separate Fun Run after the 5K finish.
Participants must be registered under their own name with accurate information; registrations that do not meet this requirement will be void. Registration fees are non-refundable. The race director may cancel the event for weather, natural disaster, or other circumstances that pose a significant danger. Packet pickup, a course map, parking map, and race FAQs are provided by the organizer. The event lists a race-branded apparel item, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and alcoholic beverage options for those 21 and older as participant perks.
