Thanksgiving Day 5K Run & Family Stroll
The 36th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Run & Family Stroll, presented by T-Mobile, takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026 at the Aspiria Campus in Overland Park, KS. The event includes a main 5K and a separate kids fun run that follows the 5K finish.

The event benefits the Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation and WIN for KC. Net proceeds fund the organizations mission of supporting sports in Kansas City and attracting major events, including the 2023 NFL Draft and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Participants receive a race branded apparel item. Children may take part in a Fun Run after the 5K. Event provisions include freshly baked doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, free coffee and hot cocoa from Parisi Coffee, and for those 21 and older a choice of a Yuengling Flight or Downeast Blackberry Cider provided by Central States.
The event also supports Operation Breakthrough. Alongside financial contributions, organizers collect items at packet pickup and on race day to help families with food, hygiene items, children's books, and gently used children's clothing.
