Coach Yantis 5K Turkey Trot
The Coach Yantis 5K Turkey Trot is a community running event held on November 21, 2026 at the Cunningham Center on the campus of MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. The event includes an in-person 5K run and walk, a youth Tot Trot for ages 1 to 8, and a virtual 5K option. Timing chips are provided to all participants. Packet pickup, bibs, timing chips and event shirts are available inside the foyer of the Cunningham Center on race day. Participants will receive an informational email two weeks before the event with updated details.

Registration details vary by event. Registration opens August 12, 2026 for all listed events. The in-person 5K has a registration close date of October 19, 2026 and a fee of $20. The Tot Trot and the virtual 5K have registration close dates on November 21, 2026; the Tot Trot fee is $5 and the virtual 5K fee is $20.
Proceeds support a scholarship endowment at MidAmerica Nazarene University, the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge KC, and Olathe Public Schools grants via a local community partner. Participants are encouraged to bring three to five non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army Outpost food pantry and drop them at the donations table on race morning.
