Ward Parkway Thanksgiving Day Run
The Ward Parkway Thanksgiving Day Run takes place on November 26, 2026 in Kansas City, Missouri. The event starts at 86th Terrace and Ward Parkway on the east side of the Ward Parkway Center. The course includes maps for each distance and an operations map.

Logistics and participant items
All participants receive a long-sleeve thermal shirt, a 6-inch pie as the finisher item, and free photos. A traditional metal finisher medal is available for purchase during registration. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet inside the Ward Parkway Center on the days before the event and there is limited packet pickup on race morning; pies (pumpkin, apple, and a new cherry flavor) can be picked up with packets and some flavors are limited. Parking is accessed via State Line Road because Ward Parkway will be closed for the race; parking attendants will direct vehicles. Strollers are allowed on the course. No motorized vehicles, roller blades, bikes or dogs are allowed on the course.
Results, awards and policies
Race results are recorded by the chip on the back of the bib; bibs must be worn on the front of the shirt. Thanksgiving-themed awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and to the top three in multiple age groups from 9 & under through 80+. Registration fees are not refundable; registrations can be transferred to another participant or distance and participants become virtual runners if the race is cancelled.
