Thanksgiving Day 5K - Crystal Lake
The Thanksgiving Day 5K Run and Walk is scheduled for November 26, 2026, at Lippold Park in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The park address is 851 W. IL Route 176, about 1/2 mile west of the intersection of US Route 14 and IL Route 176.
The event uses a certified 5 km (3.1 miles) course with markers every half mile. The course is described as flat and is mostly crushed limestone. A display clock is located at the finish so participants can record their own time. Gift certificates will be provided for the first place male and first place female finishers by The Running Depot.
Walk-in registration and bib pickup are available the day before at the Running Depot and at Lippold Park on race morning. Entry is listed as free; voluntary monetary and non-perishable food donations are accepted on race day for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry. Checks should be made payable to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry; checks that include a postal address will receive an acknowledgement. The food pantry has noted a need for paper goods and organizers indicate monetary donations allow the pantry to purchase more food.
