Palatine Park District Turkey Trot
The Palatine Park District Turkey Trot is the 45th annual Thanksgiving Day running event held on November 26, 2026 at the Harper College Health and Recreation Center, 1200 W. Algonquin Rd., Palatine, IL 60067. The event offers family-oriented race options and a separate merchandise purchase for a race beanie.
Race distances include:
- 2 Miles Run/Walk
- 5 Miles Run/Walk
- 100 Yards Sammy Scurry Kids Dash
Registration details and fees are provided for each offering. Registration for the 5 Mile Run/Walk opens June 3, 2026; registration for the 2 Mile Run/Walk and the Sammy Scurry opens June 4, 2026. The 2 and 5 mile events have registration deadlines of October 4, 2026. The kids dash registration closes on November 26, 2026. Entry fees are $30.00 for the 2 mile and 5 mile events and $10.00 for the kids dash.
A separate "Hat Purchase" option is available to buy race SWAG such as a race beanie without entering a race. That option opens September 24, 2026, closes November 27, 2026, and carries a $12.00 fee.
