Run with the Bruins 5K Run/Walk
Run with the Bruins is an annual 5K fundraiser held at Lancaster County Memorial Stadium in Lancaster, SC, supporting the Lancaster High School Cross Country team. The event program includes a timed 5K run/walk and an untimed 1.5 mile walk.
Registration windows listed for each event are:
- 5K Run/Walk (timed) : registration opens May 10, 2026 and closes October 16, 2026.
- 1.5 mile Walk (untimed) : registration opens July 31, 2026 and closes October 16, 2026.
Entry fees and shirt information follow a tiered schedule. Until October 1 the fee is $20 for adults and $10 for youth 18 and under; the price until that date includes a t-shirt. After October 1 t-shirt sizes and the current design are not guaranteed. Day of event pricing is $25 for adults and $15 for youth 18 and under.
Bibs and t-shirts will be available for pick-up on race day beginning in the morning. The course for the 5K uses two laps; the 1.5 mile walk provides an option to walk a single lap. Awards for the top three male and female 5K finishers include prize money, and post-race refreshments will be available. The Lancaster County Championship Cross Country meet for high school and middle school athletes takes place immediately after the 5K. Results will be posted to the race website by the afternoon on race day.
