Tenacious Ten Hour Endurance Challenge
The Tenacious Ten Hour Endurance Challenge is a timed ten hour loop race held at Mynydd Troed, Pengenfford, near Talgarth in Powys. The course is a short 2.7 mile loop with more than 1000 feet of elevation gain per lap, and the route is fully marked.
The route starts at the base of Mynydd Troed and includes a steep climb to the summit, a few false summits, runnable sections, technical and steep downhills, and open common trails. The first lap is run clockwise; after that competitors may choose direction. Two clip stations are positioned on course, one at the trig point and one at the base, and a laminated card is used to confirm completed laps.
A strict ten hour cutoff applies; any lap not completed before the final bell will not be recorded. Entry categories include solo, pairs, and teams of four. Team results are the collective number of laps and teams must be named. Minimum age for entry is 17. Entries open 14 May 2026 and close 5 July 2027.
Facilities and event services listed include refreshments, toilets, parking, a full medical team, a refuel zone, online results, and a full gallery of pictures. Mandatory kit is required and may be weather dependent; examples include waterproof jacket and trousers, race vest, capacity to carry water, telephone, hat and gloves, appropriate trail footwear, first aid kit, and foil blanket.
