Blorenge Fell Race
The Blorenge Fell Race takes place on Saturday 28 November 2026 in Llanfoist. The course is 5.7 km long with 485 m of ascent. Entry fees are £6 standard and £4 for WFRA members. The race has a field limit of 120 runners and a minimum age of 16.
Entries open on 28 September 2026; the closing date will be confirmed separately. There will be no entries on the day. Race headquarters are at Llanfoist Community Hall and the start is at the bottom of Church Lane. Parking is available but limited. Organisers ask participants to walk, cycle, use public transport or share lifts where possible.
In the previous year 98 runners started and finished the race, with ages ranging from 16 to 80. Conditions were wet and foggy but all competitors completed the course safely.
The event emphasises local community involvement and shared time on the hill, including social food and gatherings after the race. The organisers also highlight environmental care for the Blorenge following wildfire damage in 2026 and support the community charity Stump Up For Trees to improve native woodland and biodiversity in the area.
