Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Family Fun Run
The Hospice of the Valleys Chase the Christmas Pudding is a family-friendly fun run held at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar (NP22 3AY), with a virtual entry option for participants taking part in their own communities. The in-person route consists of two laps of the scenic lake; virtual participants are asked to record a 5 km time for the event.
Participants are encouraged to wear festive costumes; organisers will award a prize for the best fancy dress. The event is wheelchair accessible, push prams are welcome and well behaved dogs on leads may join the course. Children under 12 must be accompanied on the course by a paying adult.
On-site facilities include the Visitors Centre with hot and cold refreshments, Christmas music, a raffle, changing facilities and parking. Everyone who enters will receive a Santa hat. Adults receive a hot chocolate sachet and snack; children receive festive treats, a hot chocolate sachet and snack; dogs receive a bandanna and a finishers treat. Santa will make a visit to start the fun run and spend time with attendees.
Entry fees are published as: adults £10.00 (18+), children £6.00 (4–17), family £32.00 (up to 2 adults and 3 children), dogs £3.00. Fundraising incentive: raise £50.00 or more and the entrant receives free entry into a Christmas Hamper Prize Draw; sponsorship must be raised and received by 14 December to qualify.
