Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Family Fun Run
The Hospice of the Valleys Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Family Fun Run takes place at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar on 29 November 2026 and is also open to virtual participation. Participants complete two laps of the scenic lake while following a giant Christmas pudding; virtual entrants record a 5 km time.
The event is family friendly and wheelchair accessible. Push prams are welcome and well behaved dogs on leads may take part. Children aged under 12 must be accompanied on the course by a paying adult. Fancy dress is encouraged and organisers will award a prize for the best costume.
Entry fees are listed as follows: adults (18 plus) £10.00, children (4 to 17) £6.00, family £32.00 (up to two adults and three children), dogs £3.00. Everyone who enters will receive a Santa hat. Adults receive a hot chocolate sachet and a snack, children receive festive treats plus a hot chocolate sachet and a snack, and dogs receive a bandanna and a finishers treat.
On site there will be Christmas music, a raffle, hot and cold refreshments in the Visitors Centre, changing facilities and parking. There is a fundraising incentive: raising £50.00 or more earns free entry into a Christmas Hamper Prize Draw that supports the CARIAD Activity Group; sponsorship must be received by the hospice by 14 December to qualify.
