Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Family Fun Run
The Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Family Fun Run is a charity event organised by Hospice of the Valleys at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar, on 29 November 2026, with a virtual participation option. Participants complete two laps of the scenic lake on the on-site course while chasing a giant Christmas pudding, or record a 5 km time when taking part virtually.
The event is family friendly and wheelchair accessible. Push prams are permitted and well behaved dogs on leads may join the course. Children aged under 12 must be accompanied on the course by a paying adult. Facilities on site include changing rooms, parking and a visitors centre offering hot and cold refreshments. There will also be Christmas music and a raffle. Santa will attend to start the fun run and spend time with participants.
Entry fees are published as follows: adults £10.00, children aged 4 to 17 £6.00, family £32.00 for up to two adults and three children, and dogs £3.00. All entrants receive a Santa hat; adults receive a hot chocolate sachet and a snack; children receive festive treats, a hot chocolate sachet and a snack; dogs receive a bandanna and a finishers treat. A prize will be awarded for best fancy dress. There is a fundraising incentive where raising £50.00 or more earns entry into a Christmas Hamper Prize Draw; raised sponsorship must be received by 14 December to be eligible.
