Chase the Christmas Pudding Festive Family Fun Run
Hospice of the Valleys organises a family-friendly festive run at Parc Bryn Bach on Sunday 29 November 2026. The event takes place in person at the park or virtually and includes entertainment and seasonal refreshments.
Participants can run, jog, walk, dance or skip around the lake for two laps while chasing a giant Christmas pudding. Fancy dress is encouraged, with prizes for best fancy dress. The event is wheelchair accessible; pushchairs and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. All participants receive a Santa hat. There will be Christmas music, festive treats, a raffle and a visit from Santa. A prize is awarded to the person who catches the pudding in person, which includes a Family Christmas Pudding and the honorary role of Christmas Pudding runner for 2027.

- Two laps of the scenic lake in person
- Virtual option: 5 km with a prize for the fastest virtual time
Entry fees are listed for adults, children, families and dogs. Fundraising is encouraged; entrants who raise £50 or more are entered into a Christmas hamper prize draw. Fundraising supports the CARIAD Activity Group, which helps patients stay connected, join weekly activities and gives carers opportunities for peer support and respite.
