Tenacious Ten Endurance Challenge

The Tenacious Ten Endurance Challenge is a 10-hour running event on Saturday, May 9th, 2026. The event takes place at Mynydd Troed on Pengenfford Common, near Talgarth in Powys, Wales. Participants run laps of a 3.2-mile (5.1 km) loop course with 1064 ft (324 m) of elevation gain per lap.

The course features a steep climb to the summit of Mynydd Troed and includes technical downhill sections and open common trails. For the first lap, runners must follow a clockwise direction; after that, they can choose to run laps in either direction. The route is fully marked. A strict 10-hour cut-off is enforced at the finish line.

The event is open to solo runners, pairs, and teams of four. Team entries count the collective number of laps completed by the team. A full medical team is present. Mandatory kit includes a waterproof jacket and trousers, a race vest, a baselayer, capacity to carry 2 litres of fluid, a fully charged mobile phone, a head torch, and a reusable cup, among other items.

A refuel zone at the start/finish provides food and drinks, catering to all dietary requirements. There is space for a personal drop bag. Facilities include toilets, parking (for a £5 fee), and a nearby camping field. Post-event, participants receive a bespoke medal, and prizes are awarded. The event is cup-free, so participants must bring their own reusable cup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
