Race format, rules and facilities
Each lap is recorded by clipping a laminated card at the two stations. A strict 10-hour cut off applies; any lap not completed and recorded before the final horn will not count. Team totals are the collective number of laps completed; teams must be named and continue under a last-man-standing approach. Medics may withdraw participants; if allowed to continue they do so at their own risk.
Facilities at headquarters include a refuel zone at the start/finish with food and drinks, space for drop bags, toilets, basic camping nearby, parking (ballot and fee applies) and a full medical team. Mandatory kit requirements include waterproof jacket and trousers, race vest or pack with at least 2 litres capacity, charged mobile phone, hat and gloves, appropriate trail footwear, first aid kit, foil blanket, head torch and whistle with spare batteries, reusable cup and navigation file or map.
