Event
The Hospice of the Valleys Damian Williams 10k Race and 2k Junior Run is scheduled for 12 April 2026 at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar (NP22 3AY). The event is organised by Hospice of the Valleys with support from Parc Bryn Bach Running Club. It includes two distances:
- 10k for seniors (aged 17 and over)
- 2k for juniors (aged 4–16)
The event is licensed under Welsh Athletics. Runners with buggies or pushed wheelchairs are not permitted because the governing body insurance does not cover assisted running in this format.
Entry and race information
Entry fees vary by period and affiliation. Senior early-bird, standard and on-the-day fees and junior early-bird, standard and on-the-day fees are set and listed by the organiser. Children aged 4–7 are advised to run with a responsible adult aged 18 or over; one accompanying adult per child enters free of charge. To confirm a junior booking, the organiser requests the name of the adult who will run with or collect the child at the finish area.
Participants receive event items: seniors receive a hospice buff, water and a snack; juniors receive a finisher’s medal, water and a snack. T-shirts for the 2026 event are available to add during registration and must be ordered by 18 March 2026; the print logo will be white.
