Event details
The Hospice of the Valleys Damian Williams 10k Race and 2k Junior Run is scheduled for 12 April 2026 at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar NP22 3AY. The event includes two race distances:
- 10k - Senior race, for participants aged 17 and over.
- 2k - Junior run, for children aged 4 to 16; children aged 4-7 are advised to run with a responsible adult aged 18 or over.
To confirm a junior entry, the registration requests the name of an adult who will run with or collect the child at the finish area.
Entry, fees and race conditions
The senior entry fees vary by period and affiliation: Early Bird (1 Jan - 15 Feb 2026) Affiliated £12 / Non-affiliated £14; Standard (16 Feb - 5 Apr 2026) Affiliated £14 / Non-affiliated £16; On the day Affiliated £16 / Non-affiliated £18. Junior fees are: Early Bird £5, Standard £6, On the day £7. One accompanying adult is free per child. T-shirts for the event must be ordered by 18 March 2026.
Runners receive event items: seniors receive a free hospice buff, water and a snack; juniors receive a finisher’s medal, water and a snack. The race is licensed by Welsh Athletics and, under the licence and insurance terms, runners pushing buggies or pushed wheelchairs are not permitted.
