About the race
The Damian Williams 10k and Junior 2k Run takes place at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar, on 11 April 2027. The event is organised by Hospice of the Valleys with Parc Bryn Bach Running Club and offers separate races for adults and children.
Distances
- 10 km for runners aged 17 and over.
- 2 km (Junior) for children aged 4 to 16; children aged 4 to 7 are advised to run with a responsible adult aged 18 or over. One accompanying adult may enter free of charge per child.
The 10k is a Welsh Athletics licensed race. Because of the licence and associated insurance, runners pushing buggies or pushed wheelchairs are not permitted. Entry fees vary by category and timing; fees are listed for early bird, standard, and on the day for both races. Race entries include event items: the senior 10k receives a Hospice of the Valleys buff, water and a snack; junior finishers receive a Hospice of the Valleys medal, water and a snack.
Participation and fundraising support Hospice of the Valleys’ work in Blaenau Gwent, providing care and services for people living with life limiting conditions and for their families.
