About the race
The Team Gina 5K is a charity event held on October 31, 2026, in Apopka, Florida. The event supports a foundation that began as a benefit golf tournament in 2012 and has grown into a nonprofit that has raised over $1 million to assist local families facing breast cancer. The foundation provides financial aid and counseling for young families affected by the disease.
The event features a 5K out and back course at Jason Dwelley Park - Lakeside in Apopka. Entry for the 5K is listed at $35. All 5K finishers receive a commemorative medal and a race T-shirt; T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations submitted after October 9, 2026. Packet pickup, including bibs and T-shirts, is scheduled the day before the event and on the morning of the event.
Because the course includes sections with narrowing sidewalks, participants are asked to leave pets at home; service animals are allowed. Bicycles, roller skates or blades, and skateboards are prohibited. Strollers are permitted but will start behind all walkers. Costumes are encouraged since the event falls on Halloween; participants in costume are entered into a drawing for a prize. Costumes should be family friendly, not obstruct vision, and should not create tripping or safety hazards. Race awards include top three overall male and female place medals, age group ribbons, and team awards for biggest team and top fundraising team.
