Team Gina 5k
The Team Gina 5k is an athletic event held at Jason Dwelley Park - Lakeside in Apopka, Florida. Participants have the option to race, run, or walk the course. This event serves as a fundraiser for the Gina McReynolds Foundation, a 501-c3 non-profit organization that provides financial support and counseling to young families affected by breast cancer.
The event features a single distance:

The route is an out and back course. Due to the narrowing of sidewalks at various points along the path, pets are not permitted, although service animals are allowed. Strollers are permitted on the course but are required to start behind the field of walkers. Bicycles, roller-skates, roller-blades, and skateboards are strictly prohibited.
All finishers of the 5 km distance receive a commemorative medal. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, ribbons are provided to the top three male and female participants in age categories ranging from 19 and under to 60 and over. Recognition is also given to the largest team and the top fundraising team.
Packet pickup includes the race bib and a dedicated event t-shirt. This takes place at Pavilion 4 within the park on the day prior to the race as well as on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
