Team Gina 5K : Apopka, Florida
The Team Gina 5K takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Jason Dwelley Park - Lakeside in Apopka, Florida. The course is an out and back 5K and the event benefits the Gina McReynolds Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides financial support and counseling to young families facing breast cancer and has raised over $1 million.
Registration for the 5K is listed at $35. All finishers receive a commemorative Team Gina 5K medal and a race T-shirt; the T-shirt is not guaranteed for registrations submitted after October 9, 2026.
Because the date falls on Halloween, participants may wear costumes and prizes will be awarded to the top three best-dressed. Costumes should be family-friendly and suitable for running or walking; items that obstruct vision, create tripping hazards, or impede movement are discouraged.
Course and participant guidelines note that sidewalks narrow in places, so pets should be left at home while service animals are welcome. Bicycles, roller-skates and skateboards are prohibited. Strollers are permitted but will start behind all walkers.
Packet pickup for bibs and shirts is scheduled Friday, October 30, 2026, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Jason Dwelley Park - Lakeside (next to the Apopka Amphitheater) and on race morning from 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. Virtual race options allow phone GPS tracking and verified time uploads.
Awards include place medals for the top three overall male and female finishers, age group ribbons for the top three in each listed category, and team awards for biggest team and top fundraising team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
