Beyond The Grave 5K

Beyond The Grave 5K is a Halloween-themed running event held in Lake Mary, Florida, with the start and finish at the Ladybird Academy of Lake Mary parking lot, 175 Timacuan Blvd. The event includes in-person and virtual options plus short youth and specialty races.

Race options include a one-loop cemetery route called the Spirit Sprint and a two-loop option called the Double Grave Dare. The event is not chip timed. A separate virtual 5K allows participants to complete the distance remotely; virtual entrants receive a race shirt and finisher medal, available for pickup in Lake Mary or mailed for an additional charge. A free kids race called the Zombie Shuffle is a 100 yard dash where children receive finisher medals. The Challenge Mile is an accessible one-mile course open to walking, rolling, jogging, or running. Volunteer roles include course positions and a costumed haunt or scare zone team.

Additional event features listed by the organizer include a complimentary headband flashlight for runners, a themed race shirt, a gravestone and zombie design finisher medal, a costume contest with multiple categories, and an optional Crazy Hair Race Wig available for purchase. Packet pickup is available at Front Running Sports and also at the race site. If the in-person event cannot take place, registrations will be converted to the virtual race and medals and shirts remain available for pickup at Front Running Sports.
