Tanker Trot

Tanker Trot is a road running event held on McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas (7751 E Pawnee St). The event features a 5 km race on an active military installation during Airshow operations on 10/24/2026.

Registration opens on 2026-05-01 and closes on 2026-09-28. The registration fee is $50. Registration includes a long‑sleeve event shirt, a racing bib with timing chip, and a finisher medal. Registration is limited to 500 runners and no late or day of registration will be accepted because of base access requirements.

Because the race takes place on an active airfield during Airshow operations, the event must adhere to a strict timeline and participants should be able to complete the course within a one hour window. There will be no water stations on the course to prevent foreign object debris; water will be available at the finish area.

Awards include age group prizes across six categories for first place male and female, plus overall awards for top male and female finishers. Runners may purchase entries for up to two adult (18+) spectators; spectators must meet the same base access and identification requirements as runners and will receive a spectator sticker in the runner packet.
