Tanker Trot : McConnell Air Force Base
The Tanker Trot is a running event held on 10/24/2026 at McConnell Air Force Base, located at 7751 E Pawnee St, Wichita, KS 67202. The event features a 5K running race that begins and ends on the Airshow Ramp, providing runners with a close view of aircraft and base operations.
Registration opens 05/01/2026 and closes 09/28/2026. Entry is limited to 500 runners and the registration fee is $45.00. No late or day of registration will be accepted because of base access requirements. Registration includes a long sleeve event shirt, a racing bib with timing chip, and a finisher Tanker Trot medal. Registered participants also receive access to the Airshow through an expedited "Tanker Trot" lane for early event entry.
There will be no water stations on the course to prevent foreign object debris on the active airfield. Water will be available at the finish area. Awards include age group prizes across seven categories with top three male and female finishers in each group, plus overall awards for the top male and female finishers.
Spectators: runners may purchase entry for up to two adult (18+) spectators. Spectators must meet the same base access and identification requirements as runners and receive a spectator sticker with the runner packet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
