About the race
Lexi’s 5K is a community fundraiser held on October 25, 2026 at Sedgwick County Park (Sunflower Building South Entrance) in Wichita, Kansas. It is the 13th annual event raising funds for Lexi’s LAMB Foundation, which provides comfort items and support to children in local hospitals.
The event program includes a competitive 5 km run/walk, an untimed 1 mile fun run or walk, and a virtual participation option. An awards ceremony and an after party cookout follow the races; the cookout is free for participants and a small fee applies for other attendees. Trick-or-treating takes place after the awards ceremony and costumes are encouraged.
Registration opens May 28, 2026, with an early bird period ending August 1, 2026. Registrations received by September 30 are guaranteed a race-day t-shirt; later registrations are subject to availability. Fee structure includes early bird, regular, and late registration tiers for adults and children under 12, and a virtual runner fee with shirts mailed the week following the race. Online registration closes October 21, 2026; late registration is available only at packet pickup locations.
Packet pickup is scheduled on the days before the event at a local office and at Sedgwick County Park, with additional pickup at the park on race day. Vendors and sponsors are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
