Planet Fitness Wichita OctoberFit 5/10k

The Planet Fitness Wichita OctoberFit is a community running event held in Wichita, Kansas. The event raises funds to support the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Kansas and its youth programs. Participants can choose between two main distances:

• 5 km
• 10 km

The race follows a route along the bike paths surrounding the Arkansas River. Starting at the workout park on West Sim Park Drive, the course travels north past locations such as Cowtown and the Keeper of the Plains toward Exploration Place. The return leg follows the bike path south of the river, crossing the "red bridge" to reach the finish line. Parking is available at the start area or the Botanica parking lot located just east of the line.

The event features a Halloween theme and includes a costume contest for individuals and couples before the race begins. Participants receive a race t-shirt, a participation medal, and a bag with various items. Race packets are available for collection in the days leading up to the event at the Planet Fitness Normandie location or on the morning of the race at the start location.
