Course and logistics

The start and finish are at 2101 W Sim Park Dr, one mile west of the Wichita Art Museum along Museum Blvd/West Sim Park Dr at the workout park. Parking is available at the address above or at the Botanica parking lot just east of the start/finish. The route follows the bike path on the north side of the Arkansas River past Cowtown and the Keeper of the Plains to Exploration Place, returns along the bike path south of the Arkansas River, and includes a short jog across the "red bridge" back to the start/finish.

Registration, fees and packet pickup

Registration opens in May 2026. The listing shows an early registration rate of $35 from May 2 through August 15 and a regular rate of $40 from August 16 through race day. Packet pickup is scheduled from Monday, October 20 to Wednesday, October 22 at Planet Fitness Normandie, 6592 E. Central Ave, Wichita, KS 67206; packets are also available the morning of the race. Raffle tickets are offered at one for $5 or five for $20.

Extras

All participants receive a race t-shirt, a participation medal, and a goodie bag. A costume contest is held for individuals or couples; the winning individual or couple receives a $100 gift card.
