Alpha Run - Bel Aire
The Alpha Run is a fundraising event held at Sunrise Christian Academy campus in Bel Aire, KS (5500 E. 45th St) on November 7, 2026. The event raises funds for the construction of the new Alpha Building, which will be built in phases and include a theater, a gymnasium, and a tornado shelter to serve the school and the wider community.
Event offerings include the following distances and activities:
- 5k (3.1 miles) road and trail, chip timed.
- 1 Mile road and trail, chip timed.
- 200 Meter kids' run (age 6 and under), includes finisher award.
- Indoor pancake breakfast.
- Alpha Combo run both the 1-mile and the 5k.
Race entries for the 5k and 1-mile include a bib, a T-shirt, and indoor breakfast. The 200 meter kids' run includes a bib, a T-shirt, a finisher's award, and indoor breakfast. Packet pickup is available at the school on November 6 and the morning of the event.
Awards are given in separate male and female classes for age groups 7-9; 10-12; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60+. Top finishers in each class for the 5k and 1-mile receive special medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
