Alpha Run - Bel Aire
The Alpha Run is a fundraising event to support construction of the Alpha Building at Sunrise Christian Academy. The planned building will include a theater, a gymnasium, and a tornado shelter to serve the school and the community. The event takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026 on the school campus in Bel Aire, KS.
Distances included in the event:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1 mile
- 200 meter kids run (age 6 and under)
The 5k and 1 mile are road and trail courses and are chip timed. These entries include a bib, a T-shirt, and an indoor breakfast. The 200 meter kids run includes a bib, a T-shirt, a finisher’s award, and an indoor breakfast. There is also a combo option to enter both the 1 mile and the 5k and a breakfast only option with an indoor pancake breakfast.
Awards are offered separately for male and female classes in the 1 mile and 5k across age groups 7-9; 10-12; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60 plus. Top finishers in each class and age group receive medals. Packet pickup is scheduled at the school on November 6 and on the morning of the event. Registrations received by October 15, 2026 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
