Event Overview

The Tampa Bay 100 Mile Endurance Run is a point-to-point urban ultramarathon. The course begins in Ybor City, Tampa, and finishes in St. Petersburg. The route passes through Tampa, Safety Harbor, Dunedin, Clearwater, Gulf Blvd, and several beach towns. The course is mostly flat with some bridges, featuring a total elevation gain of approximately 1,165 feet.

Course Highlights

Runners will pass by various urban sights including murals, artworks, monuments, bridges, parks, piers, beaches, and historic buildings and neighborhoods. The route goes by landmarks such as the Tampa Theatre, Bayshore Blvd, the Riverwalk, and the Dali Museum. Runners will also pass near professional sports stadiums.

Aid Stations and Support

There are five dedicated aid stations: Courtney Campbell, Cooper’s Bayou, Dunedin, Indian Rocks Beach, and Gulfport. They provide soda, pickles, candy, chips, cookies, produce, and electrolyte powder. Additional "supplies caches" with water and snacks are placed between aid stations. Runners are advised to carry their own food or purchase it from stores, delis, or restaurants along the route. Crews are highly recommended but not mandatory.

Rules and Requirements

The overall cutoff time is 36.5 hours, with specific cutoffs at the Dunedin (19 hours) and Gulfport (29 miles) aid stations. All runners must carry mandatory gear: a cell phone, direction sheet, water bottle or hydration pack (minimum 20 oz), headlamp with extra batteries, reflective gear, and blinking LED lights for night running. The free CalTopo app is required for navigation.

Pacers are allowed after the Courtney Campbell Causeway aid station. Runners aged 60 or over may have a pacer at any time. Daytime pacing is limited to one pacer at a time; nighttime allows for two pacers.

Awards and Swag

Finishers receive a 100-mile belt buckle. First-year finishers get a silver buckle, while returning finishers receive a new design. The top four male and female runners receive trophies. All participants receive event swag including hats, stickers, pins, and a "Mini Poster." Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
