One Flag Forward - Tampa, FL
One Flag Forward in Tampa, FL is a community run/walk connected to a national relay taking place September 12–16, 2026. The local event on September 12 is family-friendly and begins with a circle of remembrance to honor the Fallen. Participants will move the American Flag forward toward James A. Haley VA Hospital, then return to Yuengling, covering about 2.5 miles to recognize the United States' 250 years.
The route follows sidewalks and is done at an easy, collective pace. Flags will be displayed along the way and participants may optionally carry extra weight. The activity is presented as a public, visible procession in solidarity with the larger relay.
One Flag Forward is the continuation of a long-standing partnership between wear blue: run to remember and Team Red, White & Blue. The initiative unites those groups under the American flag; its stated tagline is "One flag, carried by many, honoring all." Over five days a single American flag will travel 250 miles from New York City to Washington, D.C., passing through the hands of Gold Star and surviving family members, veterans, service members, military family members, and civilian supporters, with representation from every branch of the United States Armed Forces.
