Tame the Tower Trail Challenge - Lebanon, PA
Tame the Tower Trail Challenge is a trail running event held in December at Clarence Schock Memorial Park, 3283 Pinch Road, Lebanon, PA. The courses use the hiking trails around Mt. Gretna and reflect the village's artistic setting.
The event offers two measured trail distances:
- 10 mile course follows pink flags; about 1500 feet total elevation gain.
- 5 mile course follows yellow flags; about 850 feet total elevation gain.
Both distances start and end at the Clarence Schock Memorial Park Education Center. Course routes are marked with colored ground flags to guide participants.
Parking is available at Governor Dick Park and nearby areas; the Governor Dick Nature Center lot is first come first serve. When that lot is full, participants will be redirected to a Mount Gretna lot served by a van. Additional parking details are provided to registered participants.
Registration and race number pick-up occur at Governor Dick Park on race day. Top overall male and female winners in each distance receive cash prizes, and top finishers in each age group are recognized. One hundred percent of proceeds are allocated to the park for trail maintenance, safety measures, and education center improvements. The event is conducted rain or shine with no refunds. Pets are not permitted. Timing and results are provided by Pretzel City Sports. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
