2026 Tame the Tower Trail Challenge
The Tame the Tower Trail Challenge takes place on December 12, 2026, at Governor Dick Park in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The event uses the local hiking trails associated with the Mount Gretna area and is described as celebrating the natural and artistic character of the village and its trails. One hundred percent of race proceeds are designated for park needs, including trail maintenance, park safety measures, and improvements to the park education center; past projects funded by proceeds include a new water fountain and a mud kitchen.
The event offers two trail distances:
- 5 mile trail course
- 10 mile trail course
Parking is available at Governor Dick Park and nearby areas. Race awards include cash prizes for top overall male and female finishers in each distance, plus recognition for top male and female finishers in each age group. The race is professionally timed and results are posted by Pretzel City Sports. Registration fees are listed for each distance with earlier postmark discounts and include a winter beanie for entries postmarked by November 1, 2026 while supplies last. Online registration is available through UltraSignup. The event proceeds regardless of weather and refunds are not offered. Pets are not permitted to race.
