Santa 5K Run & Walk
The Manheim Lions Club organizes an annual Santa 5K Run & Walk each December to raise funds for community projects and charitable causes. The event is open to participants of all ages, and runners and walkers are encouraged to wear festive holiday attire. The course starts and finishes at Market Square in Manheim, Pennsylvania.
Registration is available online through RunSignUp and the organizer notes early registration to help ensure availability. Packet pick-up is held at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 48 Market Square, with pickup offered the day before the event and the morning of the event.
Parking is available at multiple nearby lots in Manheim Borough and on-street parking is also possible. Several roads along the course have temporary closures during the event, and Market Square may remain closed briefly afterward for cleanup and equipment breakdown.
Event services and rules include porta-potties near the east side of Market Square, a water station at the halfway point and additional water at the finish, and chip timing provided by Applied Race Management. Life Lion provides medical support on course. Awards include medals for top finishers in defined age groups and cash prizes for overall top finishers. Entry fees are non-refundable, certain wheeled devices are prohibited, dogs must be leashed, walkers should position themselves behind runners, and the course must be completed within 1 hour and 15 minutes.
