The 5K follows a flat, scenic town route with one moderate hill, passing along the decorated canal, town streets, and Legion Acres. The 5K is manually timed by Pretzel City Sports and is held rain or shine. The 3/4 mile run is 100% flat on a closed road along the canal with no traffic crossings.
Event amenities and logistics include official race shirts guaranteed to registered participants by November 18, 2026 and available afterward while supplies last, and ample parking at the Hose Hook & Ladder venue. Awards include a special prize for the best costume, overall champions for top male and female, and age group medals for the top two male and female finishers in standard age divisions.
