Talk Pirate to Me 5K/10K/Half - Albuquerque
The Talk Pirate to Me 5K/10K/Half in Albuquerque is a themed running event at Tingley Beach scheduled for September 20, 2026. The event celebrates International Talk Like a Pirate Day throughout the month and features themed medals and race-day pirate spirit.
Three race distances are offered:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All races are chip timed. Water stations will be available approximately every 1.5 miles. Half Marathon participants must maintain at least a 16 minute per mile pace to finish the course.
Awards will be presented in each distance to the top three male and female finishers in traditional five-year age groups. A custom finisher medal is provided to participants who complete the race.
Registration is available in regular, late, and race-day windows. Regular registration ends on September 12 and late registration ends on September 19. Registrations made by September 10 are guaranteed race apparel in the requested size; afterwards apparel is available while supplies last. Sample regular registration fees are 5K $40, 10K $45, Half Marathon $60, with higher fees for late and race-day entry.
A virtual race option allows participants to complete their chosen distance at an alternate location, submit results online, and have results posted after the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
