About the race
The Tailwagger Trot is a community 5K run/walk on May 2, 2027 in Lisle, Illinois, at 1825 Short St. The event permits participants to run with a dog or without a dog. The race uses official chip timing and 5K registrants receive a timed bib.
Registration is online only, with an entry fee of $35.00. Registrations open January 31 and close April 1. Participants who register by April 13 are guaranteed a race shirt and a dog bandana; registrations after April 13 are not guaranteed a shirt, requested size, or a dog bandana. Every participant must complete a waiver at registration.
Race packet pick up is available at the Lisle Recreation Center, 1925 Ohio Street, on April 30, and at the Lisle Bandshell Shelter, 1825 Short St, on race day. Race day packet pick up is offered at the Bandshell Shelter.
Dog owners are responsible for their animals and must keep dogs leashed at all times. Leashes may not exceed six feet and retractable leashes are prohibited. Dogs known to be aggressive may be excluded. Owners must pick up and dispose of waste and ensure dogs are up to date on vaccinations for the event.
Awards will be given to the overall top male, female and non-binary finishers and to the top male, female and non-binary finishers in these age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-65, 66+.
