Event Overview
The Tailwagger Trot is an annual 5K run/walk scheduled for May 3, 2026. It takes place in Lisle, Illinois, at the Lisle Bandshell Shelter on Short Street. The event welcomes participants to run or walk with or without a dog.
Registration and Details
Registration is for a single 5K distance. The entry price is listed at $35. Participants who register by April 14, 2026, are guaranteed a race shirt and a dog bandana. Registrations after that date may not receive these items or a specific shirt size. All participants receive an official chip-timed bib.
Awards are given to the overall top male and female finishers. Age group awards are also presented for the following categories: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-65, and 66+.
For Dog Owners
Participants bringing a dog must adhere to several rules. Dogs must be leashed at all times with a leash no longer than 8 feet. Dogs known to be aggressive may not participate. Owners are responsible for their dog's actions and must clean up after them. By registering, owners agree their dog will be up to date on all vaccinations.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on Friday, May 1, at the Lisle Recreation Center on Ohio Street. On race day, registration and packet pickup are available at the Lisle Bandshell Shelter.
