Event Overview
The Tails & Trails State Forest Run is a trail running event taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Pittsfield State Park in Massachusetts. The event offers three race distances: 50K, 25K, and 5 Miler.
Course and Logistics
The course starts with a brief paved section before moving onto single-track trails. The route features rolling hills, rocks, roots, mountain bike trails, and sections through pine forests. The loop includes two aid stations. Camping with showers and bathrooms is available in Pittsfield State Forest, which runners must book independently.
Registration and Details
Registration closes on May 10, 2026. Participants who register by May 1 are guaranteed a T-shirt. All finishers receive an award.
Charitable Support
The event is organized by the Berkshire Ultra Running Community for Service (BURCS), a 501(c)(3) organization. Proceeds from the race support three animal rescue nonprofits in the Berkshire area: Red Robin Song Animal Sanctuary, No Paws Left Behind animal shelter, and Berkshire Bird Paradise.
