Tacos N' Beer 5K - Long Beach
The Tacos N' Beer 5K in Long Beach is a 5-kilometer oceanfront run that begins and ends at Shoreline Aquatic Park, 200 Aquarium Way. The course proceeds along the aquatic boardwalk toward Shoreline Village and Shoreline Marina, is predominantly flat, and returns near the 1.55-mile mark for a post-race festival at Shoreline Aquatic Park. A two-hour time limit applies.
Course entertainment includes live mariachi, a DJ, and a live banda performing along the route and at the festival. Event categories and waves are listed as Speedy Gonzalez, All Runners, Slow poke Rodriguez "Tranquilito", joggers, walkers, and strollers. Water stations are provided on course.
Packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at Sport Basement Long Beach (2100 N Bellflower) from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Race day packet pickup is available at the venue for a $5.00 fee; participants are encouraged to pick up packets on Friday to avoid the fee. Race bibs include three white square labels for T-shirt, Beer, and Tacos; staff will mark labels as items are received.
Included items and services: two free tacos, one free beer for attendees 21 and over, a crafted medal, a T-shirt, optional chip timing, course entertainment, water stations, a post-race party, and awards for the top three male and top three female finishers.
