Tacos N' Beer 5K - Long Beach
The event is a 5k (3.1 miles) run and walk held at Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach on September 26, 2027. The oceanfront course proceeds along the aquatic boardwalk toward Shoreline Village and the Shoreline Marina, then returns to Shoreline Aquatic Park near the halfway point. The course is described as predominantly flat and fast.
Race-day features include live music along the course with a mariachi band, a DJ, and a live banda, water stations, and course entertainment. Chip timing is offered as an optional service and top three male and female finishers are recognized; awards require wearing the chip timing bib. The race bib includes three labels that are marked when participants collect their t-shirt, beer, and tacos.
Post-race provisions listed for participants are two free tacos, one free beer for those 21 and older, a crafted medal, and a t-shirt, plus a post-race party. Packet pickup is available the day before at Sport Basement Long Beach and at the venue on race day for a stated fee if pickup was not completed earlier. Parking is available at the Pike Outlets Parking Structure near the waterfront.
The event policy notes that entry fees are non refundable and non transferable and that bibs may not be given or sold to others. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
